How did you get started as a runner?
I first started running in 8th grade. I had finished up my first season of wrestling (which was also my first time doing a sport) and I was convinced to take up track. Even though I was on the team, I rarely showed up and would often play follow the leader when I did. I didn’t start to take it seriously until my freshman track season.
Where in the world has running taken you?
Running has taken me far. Within the U.S. I’ve traveled to about 7-8 states for something running related (training, racing, college visits). Outside of the U.S., I was able to go to Kampala, Uganda for a week to compete in the IAAF World Cross Country Championships.
Where do you intend to open your first dentistry practice?
I’d probably open it somewhere it would be heavily needed. I think the Phillipines would be a good place. It’d also be dope to be in work in the Philippines, so that’s two birds with one stone.
Favorite running memory?
Running in Bend, Oregon. I was there for the USATF U20 National Championships with two teammates, and it was just beautiful. There was snow, but it wasn’t that cold and you could see mountains to the east. It was one of the hardest races I’ve ever ran, but it was still a great experience.
Favorite sandwich?
Peanut butter & Honey ftw!
One thing people don’t know about you?
I’m a video game freak. I can spend days cooped inside playing. There’s actually been times when I would go like 3-4 days without going outside. I’m into most genres of games, but my favorite is RPGs, like Skyrim or Witcher, FPS/TPS games, like CoD or Uncharted, and Action-Adventure games like the Infamous series or Assassin's Creed. I hate horror games and telltale games.
